Industrial alpinism
Roof cleaning and repair
We have extensive experience in cleaning roofs, eaves, and rainwater downpipes from snow and ice, as well as from leaves, sand, and debris using industrial alpinism techniques.
Depending on the type of roof covering, its width, construction, and maintenance requirements, appropriate equipment, tools, and materials are selected to avoid damaging the roof. If necessary, roof cleaning is performed using a lift (for tile, thatch, etc., roofs).
Before and during the work, the work area is cordoned off and monitored to ensure that falling objects, snow, ice, and icicles do not pose a risk to pedestrians, drivers, and vehicles.
Additionally, we offer minor repair work on roofs and their structures.
To calculate the cost of roof cleaning, the following information is required:
Type of roof covering (soft, hard, tile)
Approximate pitch (angle in degrees)
Approximate area (building area, square meters of the roof, meters of gutters)
If applicable, specify any special requirements (difficult access, additional requests, etc.)
Whether snow removal is needed or just piling it up
It is advisable to attach photos for reference.
Sealing of exterior inter-panel joints
During the work, the surface of the joints must be clean:
-
Cleaning: Mechanical
-
Degreased: For hard and dense surfaces
-
Free from dust, oil, grease, and wax
-
Dry
-
Free from ice and condensation (dew)
-
Working temperature: At least +5°C
-
Joint sealant: The joint filler should have flexibility suitable for each material type
-
Side surfaces of the joints: Should be clean, dry, and smooth to achieve the best possible adhesion.
Before starting the sealing work, the old joint paint that also covers part of the panel surface must be removed, and the joints must be cleaned (mechanical scraping, cleaning, removal of old filler). Cleaned joints should be primed with Microsealer-50 or an equivalent, then the joint is filled with mastic after applying the primer. Joint width: 30-50mm.
When performing joint filling and sealing with sealant, ventilation silicone tubes should be inserted at every 3 meters along the joint length and at joint intersections.
For treating joint/panel surfaces with a hydrophobic material, use water-repellent (hydrophobic) impregnation agents for building facades, such as Sikagard-703W or an equivalent.
During the work, we will cordon off the work area to prevent dust from entering the premises, and construction debris will be removed daily. After the work is completed, we will collect the construction debris.
If the green area or landscaping elements are damaged during construction, they will be restored to their original condition after the work is completed.
We guarantee the quality of the work, materials, construction, and technology for 2 years after the signing of the building handover-acceptance certificate.
Cleaning of industrial structures and anti-corrosion treatment
For the work, one of the following cleaning and painting systems is usually chosen:
-
Steel cleaning to grade Sa 2 ½ using sandblasting.
Paint layers:
-
Primer: Aluminum or zinc-containing epoxy
-
Intermediate coat: Epoxy containing MIO particles
-
Top coat: Polyurethane, RAL color as chosen
If sandblasting is used for metal surface preparation, measures must be taken to collect the sand.
-
-
Steel cleaning to grade St 2 using high-pressure water jet (800 bar) or mechanical cleaning.
Paint layers:
-
Primer: Linseed oil alkyd-based primer
-
Intermediate coat: Aluminum or zinc-containing epoxy
-
Intermediate coat: Epoxy containing MIO particles
-
Top coat: Polyurethane, RAL color as chosen
-
During painting, it is crucial to monitor weather conditions, prepare anti-corrosion work quality control reports, and maintain a weather log. Paint layer thickness measurements are taken with certified instruments.
